Find that your phone is starting to slow down or freeze up?
-Check for software updates to see if you have the latest software by plugging your blackberry into the Desktop manager on your computer (The set-up disc for Desktop Manager can be found in the box your phone came in)
-Try freeing up some memory in your phone by deleting messages and call history. Be sure to use a memory card for pictures and videos.

Want to change the ringer but don't know how???
-Click on the speaker icon labeled as 'Profiles'
-Scroll all the way to the bottom and select 'Advanced'
-Choose the profile that is currently (Active)
-Choose which ringer you want to change (Sms text, phone, messages, etc) *If you select the Vibrate option, the phone will vibrate first before it will ring.
-When finished press the menu button (Blackberry logo) and select 'Save'. Or simply press the return key (to the right of the trackwheel) and it will prompt you to save any changes.

How to quickly change your ring tone to vibrate with just ONE click: Press and Hold (#) key. Do the same to quickly switch it back!
Shortcut to locking the Keypad: Press and Hold (*). To Unlock simply press (*) then the green talk button.
Turning speaker phone On/Off during a call: Press the (OP) key.
To Send a Text Message: Press the messages button (Envelope Icon), Press Menu (First button to the right of the Talk key with the Blackberry trademark), Scroll down to 'Compose SMS Text', Once highlighted press in on the trackball to enter. Highlight the person you want to text message (Or select 'Use Once' for a number not in your address book. Enter the phone number with Area Code, press in on the trackball and select Continue) Type in your message then press in on the track ball and select 'Send'
Shortcut to composing an Email: Go into Messages (Envelope Icon) and press the comma ( , )/(L) key. Type in the name of the person you are emailing if address is saved in your address book Or simply type in the email address. Once message is completed, press in on the trackball to send. ***When entering an email address, a shortcut to getting the (@) to appear: Press the space button. You should see it come up.
To type a number or any symbol that is above the letters on your keypad: Press the up/down arrow key (located on the left side of your keypad on the very bottom) Then press the desired key.
