- if you really like having your own custom ring tones! this is a great option with blackberry. as long as you have a media card and have songs added to it ,its just a matter of seconds before your favortie song can be your ringtone.
first you go into the volume options and scroll down till you come to ring tones/ alerts. once you enter this you go into phone option , then click on the ring tone , scroll up and enter browse and selcet your custom song. *

This phone has a great ability to customize your sound profiles. You can use your trackball to scroll up to the top of the main screen and select your sound profile. If you do not like the options that you can choose from (Normal, Loud, Medium, Vibrate Only, Silent, Phone Calls Only, All Alerts Off) you can create a custom profile that allows you to choose what notifications you want to get and which you want to be silent or vibrate. This is perfect if you are in meetings and do not wish to be disturbed except for an important contact. It allows you to shut off sound to all other notifications but not to the one you need to be contacted at.
